King Street

Has anyone listened to King Street/ Nite Groove Tunes for Ridge Racer 7?  I found it online (I’m not at liberty to say where) and it’s simply amazing!  More of that video gamey techno stuff (really, I do enjoy other music too) but it’s crazy good.  Super high quality mood music!  Highly recommended!

Skydiving

Whoo, I found one of those skydiving platforms! Unfortunately not having a parachute seems to defeat the purpose. Still fun though. A word of the wise: lay off the camera controls while 2000ft above sea level. They only complicate things.

*moans* I forgot to copy an SLURL for the skydiving location, I’m sorry T__T

I dunno if it’s the time zones or what, but lately whenever I go to Flares there’s only one or two people there. Usually strangers. I guess I need to get used to staying up later. Or try waking up reeeeaaaaalllly early. Oh well, lately there seems to always be some naughty themed party going on. Not really my thing.

Mimmi tried to invite me to an 80’s club but the quadrant was over capacity >.< Blegh. Another time, I guess.

Not much

There was some people I’ve never seen before at Flares tonight.  New?  Or returned oldies?  I guess I’m not around enough to be able to tell the difference.  Regardless the temp DJ that was there tonight had to run to another job and left us music-less.  So there was just me and two other couples who were slow dancing, I’d presume they really didn’t care about what music was playing.  I felt a little awkward being the odd one out so I simply called it an early night.  *yawn*

Recall

Ah!  Of course!  Now I remember what I had forgotten to write about.  Flares has a new look… or at least a couple new decorations.  Most likely temporary.  We now have a heart confetti maker in the middle of the floor, a few balloons spread around, and new lottery game machine thingy, as well as a couple rows of new line dancing animation balls.  Story seems to be that there was a big “Welcome Back” party for an old member on Friday night which I missed out on.  Sounds like they had a blast… but it’s Flares, they always seem to have a blast.

Anyways,

Just hung out at Flares tonight. Marnie gave me a ton of new clothes so I’m sure I’ll be busy for a good hour or so the next time I log on, assembling a new outfit. Even though I’ve been wearing the same outfit for a few days now, I still feel a bit sad to depart from my hairband so soon. It took a lot of work for me to learn and modify the “Pirate Bandana” just right >.< Beh. I’m sure I’ll find something to match it with.

Marnie’s such a sweetie, but if Flares gets many more sappy people like her and Erico, that place is gonna be too sticky to dance ~__~ Surely I jest. The sap is one of the reasons I keep coming back here. I’m a sucker for things like that.

Hmm… Funny, I thought I had something more to write about tonight. *sigh* I’ve been very apathetic this week.

Here’s to better days ^^;;

mimmi’s new apartment

Mimmi and I went shopping for an aquarium for her new apartment. I had wanted to buy her one so then I had an excuse to start collecting fish prims, but she insisted she get it since she wanted one anyway, oh well. Unfortunately, and unexpectedly by me, we didn’t find the “right” tank at Splash Aquatics (though there were a couple I really liked), luckily Mimmi new of another place with a bit larger selection. Which surprised me considering that this place didn’t specialize in aquarium and underwater merchandise. Anyway, we looked through the store and after going through allll the tanks, made an unanimous decision on which tank was the “right” tank. We hurried a cute little heart shaped fish tank back to mimi’s to get it set up. Mimmi has a really cute new apartment. Lots of purple and pink complete with custom furniture by her designer friends. However it seems she has plans to move yet again. Oh well, gives me an excuse to keep coming over and checking out the new places ^^;;

Pirate Cove +

I finally found my way to ground level after my teleporting ordeal yesterday. There I found the source of the big sky maze of various themed buildings. It was an awesome little cove in Cyncia, one of the neatest places I’ve seen yet. There was a swimming area, dancing area lots of hidden little surprises, free stuff scattered about. It was cool because it was random. There was a picnic blanket that would take you to all the other buildings in the sky, or at least the finished ones. You can dine, and shop, and do all kinds of things. One of the cool things about being up in the elevated buildings is that thanks to the lack of scenery, there’s almost no lag. The high non-skipping frame rate gives it a really live feel. Muchos enjoyable.

SL Cyberspace

Wuh-oh, I wonder if I got myself into any kind of trouble. There was even more mysterious buildings floating in the sky of Linda today. I snuck inside one and was playing with a teleporter and now I seem to be stuck in limbo. Try to fly all you want you just keep falling and there’s no sign of ground anywhere. Just the occasional random floor with very strange decorations. They’re quite eerie when set against the night sky. It was amusing to say the least, like a maze without walls. I was eventually booted out of SL and thanks the login problems, I can’t get back on to try and navigate my way through the endless sky. Poo.

Fisharium

Mimmi and I couldn’t find anything fun to do so I took her to Splash Aquatics to look at the fish and stuff. We had a good time. We took a quick tour through the aquarium then went to check out the theater. Unfortunately we couldn’t get it to work. I have yet to get a television to work in SL. But that wasn’t the worst of it. We both took some of the complimentary popcorn before sitting down. The giant popcorn buckets just floated on our chests constantly popping popcorn so we couldn’t see the television screen. Detaching these buckets stuck our bodies in a “hug a ghost” pose. Our arms we’re extended as if wrapped around something, but nothing was there. We both had to relog-in to return to our former posture glory.

The last thing left to do, since we weren’t planning on spending money on anything, was to go fishing. We did that for the rest of the night, I had a blast. It seems like my chair was a cheater seat or something. I’m pretty sure I had twice as many bites as anybody else. Oh well, it doesn’t seem to matter when another girl took my first place trophy with a 35 lb catch which I was simply unable to compete with.
